Pauline Helene Jeanne d'Arc Lacerte Obituary (1937 - 2013)

Services will be private. Pauline (Bergeron) Lacerte celebrated the New Year by ascending into heaven, surrounded by her four daughters, six grandchildren, cousins and extended family. Pauline was the daughter of William and Anna (Dumais) Bergeron and grew up in Dracut, MA. Pauline was an alumnus of Ste. Jeanne d'Arc School and Keith Hall. The four daughters are Line Meneghini of Groton, MA, Ghislaine Lacerte Traywick of Hyannisport, MA, Lysiane Wing of Ashburnham, MA and Micheline Receputo of Antrim, NH. Pauline considered all four daughters as individually special, each possessing her own unique style, personality and talents. She has authorized mention of the husbands as follows: Thomas Meneghini, Martin Traywick and Paul Receputo. Grandchildren, listed chronologically, are Karl Wing, Matthew and Aaron Meneghini, Jessica Wing, Roman and Wyatt Meneghini, each of unique significance to Pauline whose love and affection for them all was a special joy. Pauline was the quintessential French Canadian matriarch, stern and demanding, yet fiercely loyal, protective and supportive, raising her ladies singlehandedly, regretting only that she didn't have more hands. She took great pride in the educational and professional successes of each daughter. In addition to this singularly remarkable accomplishment, Pauline was an instinctive and talented accountant who ended her professional career with twenty years as the comptroller and office manager of Larry E. Fleming Company in Billerica, MA. As her avocation, Pauline was an accomplished seamstress whose repertoire included clergy vestments, formal wear, wool over coats, specialty clothing and window treatments. Pauline's was not an easy life. With a promising education cut short by both the blessing and demands of her family, the years of frustration as a single mother and suspension of her own professional talents, she never wavered in her purpose and charged into each challenge with spirit and resolve. She is enormously grateful to all the friends and family who contributed their encouragement and support which she considered so essential in helping maintain her equilibrium and sense of humor. So, as we all must, Pauline takes her final bow, grateful to all her family and friends for the role each played on her stage.
