Kerry Murphy Obituary (1973 - 2024)

LOWELL Kerry (Melanson) Murphy, age 50, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Christopher J. Murphy with whom she shared 29 years of marriage. She was born in Lowell on September 17, 1973, and was the daughter of the late Barbara Melanson. Raised in Belvidere, she graduated from Greater Lowell Technical High School in 1992 with her license in hairdressing and practiced for over 25 years. She enjoyed vacationing in Florida and Maine while working on her sun kissed tan. She played bingo, slot machines and enjoyed doing crafts and crocheting. Her greatest joy was the day she became a Nana. In addition to her loving husband, Kerry was a devoted mother to Mackenzie Morlock and her husband Brandon of Manchester, NH and Kailey Murphy of Dracut; Loving Nana to Levi Morlock; She is also survived by her close cousin Barbara Adduci and her husband Glenn of Hampton, NH; sisters Tammy Symanski Leonard and her husband Chris of Merrimack, and Beth Smith of Gilford; Best friend Brenda Finch, Angie Caggiano and her god sister Jessica Girginis, there are numerous extended family members including nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends she has made throughout her life. Kerry is predeceased by her Grandparents Benjamin and Mary Melanson; Godmother Judith Melanson; her mother-in-law Florence Collins, lifelong friend tootsie and brother Tommy Boisvert and her beloved fur baby Snippers Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 1pm to 4 pm at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT.
