Interment Details The Gardens at Gethsemane DRACUT - Evangelia "Eva" "Litsa" (Konstantellou) Balodimas, 69, died Sunday afternoon November 22, 2009 in the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife for 43 years of Spilios ("Steve") Balodimas of Dracut. Born in Athens Greece on June 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late George and Maria (Pipinou) Konstantellos. She received her education in Greece before immigrating to Canada and then the United States in 1966. Mrs. Balodimas was a skilled seamstress and dressmaker, and she worked in that capacity in Greece and then in this country for herself as well as for various boutique dress shops. She was a member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Dracut. In her free time she enjoyed reading, and she cherished time spent in the company of her family. Her greatest treasures were her family and the accomplished education of her two daughters at Harvard. "Our mother never stopped thinking and reading, and she instilled the love of learning in her daughters. She was our inspiration in so many ways. She always pushed us to reach our maximum. We will miss her and remember all the lessons and values we learned from her," said her daughters. She leaves her husband, her daughter, Eugenia ("Virginia") Balodimas Friedlander and her husband Dr. Robert Friedlander of Brookline; her daughter Maria Balodimas Staton and her husband Daniel Staton of DelRay Beach, FL; seven grandchildren Henry, Alexandra and Eva Friedlander and Arianna, George, Jack and Daniela Staton; one brother Nikos Konstantellos and his wife Litsa of Athens, Greece; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
