Pauline G. (Smith) Zweigle

April 1, 1933 ~ October 1, 2019 (age 86)

DRACUT—Pauline G. (Smith) Zweigle, age 86, passed away at her home in Dracut on October 1, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of John C. Zweigle, with whom she shared 64 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Lowell, MA on April 1, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia (Beauregard) Smith.  Pauline attended Saugus High School and graduated with the class of 1952.  When her children were older, she worked as a bank teller for Warren Five Cents Savings Bank in Peabody.

To all who knew her, Pauline was first and foremost a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  There was nothing more important to her than her family, and spending time with them was her biggest joy.  Following their retirement, Pauline and her husband spent 20 years living on Cape Cod, and savored every moment of walking the beach and entertaining family.  In her free time over the years, she could be found roller skating, swimming, teaching her granddaughters to crochet, or watching the Boston Red Sox—she never missed a game.

Along with her dear husband, Pauline is survived by her two daughters, Heidi Zweigle of Arlington, and Karla Ward and her husband Mike of Nashua, NH; her two granddaughters, Katie Ward Clegg and her husband Barry of Cambridge, and Diana Dresser and her husband John of Keene, NH; her great granddaughter, Julianna Dresser; and close family friend Dawn Marshall of Arlington, as well as many other beloved family members and friends.

Arrangements:  Friends and family are welcome to call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, on Friday, October 4th, from 6PM until 8PM.  A Service will be held in the funeral home at 7:30PM.  As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pauline’s honor to Scleroderma Foundation of New England, 192 Boston Street Topsfield, MA. 01983.
